Teachers' Strategies in English Online Learning For Students With Special Needs
This study aims to analyze models of learning strategies that are suitable for inclusive children because all learning at school changes to distance learning. This period is very crucial, especially for children with special needs who are currently studying. This research uses qualitative methods with case studies. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews and observation. The subjects are three, and the teacher's role in the thematic analysis of children's students is specifically used to interpret research findings. In this study, the answers of parents and teachers as respondents were evaluated. The results of the study show that a suitable learning model for use during this pandemic is an individual learning model based on individual learning plans. Teachers can provide simple projects that contain soft and hard skills for children, including those under the supervision of parents. The focus of learning is not on conveying cognitive abilities as usual but on how students can be skilled and independent in carrying out activities. The findings of this study can provide solutions for teachers and parents in guiding learning activities and for inclusive children.
