Students' Experiences of Using "Spotify" to Mastering Vocabulary in Listening Skill
The rapid development of technology nowadays is a good thing for learning systems, one of which is the Spotify application as an English language learning medium. The purpose of this study is to explore students' experiences of using the Spotify application for English vocabulary mastery media by listening. The reason for conducting this research is based on the habits of students who prefer listening to music or podcasts as a way to learn English. This is a qualitative study and uses semi-structured interviews to collect data. This research uses case studies. This study uses thematic data analysis techniques from Braun & Clarke. This research uses positive and negative emotions to explore students' experiences. The findings are that during the use of spotify as a medium for vocabulary mastery, students feel helped in increasing vocabulary mastery and students feel happy with the learning method, but some students have problems with the learning method. This, among others, is by not mastering listening skills, using a lot of internet quota, and an unstable signal so that learning becomes slower.
