The Role of English Learning Community in Promoting Students' Speaking Skill: Case Study
Most learners don’t have much time for speaking practice in front of class because formal schools have limited time. This matter makes the learners looking for another place for increasing their time for improving their language skills. Application of the English learning community can support the learners in their speaking skills. The population of this research is the participation of UKM SPEAC learning community who also carried out work programs. The research question was what are the English related activities offered by UKM SPEAC learning community and how the activities in UKM SPEAC help improve the student’s speaking skills. The purpose of this research leaving one of the English learning strategies outside the classroom and to find out how effective the development of student’s speaking skills in participating in the learning community.
