Students' Perceptions of Adopting Animation Videos As An Educational Tool in Learning English Vocabulary
This research focused on students’ perceptions of adopting animation videos as an educational tool in learning English vocabulary. This study used a qualitative with case study approach. Semi-structured interview and fifth students of 11-12 years old reflection data were thematically analyzed through the lens of their perception of the use of animation video in teaching-learning vocabulary, while the data analysis used content analysis by adopting Braun and Clarke (2006). The result of this study showed that learning vocabulary with animation videos, the students were easier to understand the vocabulary material better, make learning more active and the delivery of material can be conveyed well by the students, make the classroom atmosphere less boring, the students could improve language skill, and the students more flexible in controlling the use animation video without being limited by time and space according to the learning they need. Thus, through the use of animation videos the quality of the students could improve their learning outcome.
